I have been following Delia’s blog, Delia Creates for as long as I can remember and have loved watching her blog go from uh-mazing to what I believe could pretty much be top shelf magazine cover worthy every day. She makes the simplest of items looks just absolutely stunning in her still photography. I have now made all but one of her Crochet tutorials (I am getting to that last one ASAP). And every time she posts a sewing project I think, pardon my French, “oh man, I soooo want to make that immédiatement!” How she does it . . .

in the summer when it sizzles
Our time in Paris is coming to a close. Our departure date was moved WAY up due to a very unfortunate event that happened earlier this week. Many of you have also commented asking about the absence of Wild Wandering. For the time being we have made our personal blog private until we decide how to move forward. Thanks for all your support in that area! To help alleviate the stress of moving and trying to keep the blog semi active during this HUGE transition, I called upon some of the super talented ladies in this lovely sewing world and asked if they would create something inspired by Paris in the summer, when it is sizzling.

french patterns: c’est dimanche
One of my goals while living here in France was to sew lots of French patterns. There are loads of lovely French pattern companies and I have slowly created a small collection of fun patterns. The trick is, they are in French. And like in any language, genera language is different from main stream so this presented some interesting challenges. Just
yesterday I was …..

pattern tester call
Alright folks. I am at it again. This time it is for an oldie but a really big goodie. I am finally finally finally going to see if I can’t make the Taking Notes mother and child patterns PERFECT.

first floral crown
Last week I thought I would “give” myself the week off from sewing. Ironically I ended up doing tons of sewing. All things I had been wanting to get to so badly while Project Sewn was going but just didn’t have the time. We are doing pictures today so hopefully I will be able to share super soon. This morning though I went to bed and woke up grumpy. I am generally not a grumpy person and I actively get frustrated with myself when I am grumpy. In an attempt to de-grumpify myself we planned a fun family outing only to be thwarted by an even grumpier then me toddler. She was so so tired and we new that taking her on a long metro ride was just begging for a massive public meltdown. So instead . . .
