Add some spark to your rain boots

While I finish up the Beach Picnic dress pattern I thought I would share a super quick fun little thing I did this weekend. It rains ALOT here in Dili. I have a great pair of rain boots but I felt like they were plain (something odd for me) I didn't want to put something super permanent on them because I liked that they could go with lots of outfits and they cost an arm and a leg so there was no way I was cutting, sewing etc. I came up with a quick fun easy solution, velcro on embellishments.

They are so fast and easy and I think they look pretty cute.

Okay so from that angle they look like princess Leah ear buns but I swear they look cute. All I did was use two little squares of fun fabric I had to make two yo-yo's. Then I got some of my stick on velcro and put the soft side of the velcro on my boot

and the scratchy part of the yo-yo

What is awesome is now I am making a whole little collection of yo-yo's so I can switch them around when ever I like! They come on and off super easy

And when I am tired of that idea I can just peel of the velcro from my boot. (I already tried it and it came off easily.) Alright so I am NOT a fan of this picture (sorry sweetheart) but I figure I should have a picture of them "in action"

Ugh....
Anyway if you have a pair of boots that need preparing for the fall try it out!
Cheers
